About Us...

We are a family business based on the Gold Coast with a unique combination of aims and skills that enable us to locate and place suitable au pairs with families in Australia. Our business, Au Pair House, is a registered business under the Australian Government Laws, and operates using the Blue Card system.

We offer an excellent service and care to our clients, working closely with our selected families to make all the necessary arrangements for the arrival and stay of the au pair. By using Au Pair House, the au pair can save a vast amount of time and be certain that she will have a good and kind family host, with an excellent and safe environment to live in, and a clear understanding of the work she will be doing.

We believe that is very important our au-pairs have some free time each day, and preferably two complete days off per week, which is often weekends. This allows the au pair time for study as well as making new friends, which is important when a young person moves to a new country. We look after our clients closely, and offer many types of assistance to make their visit to Australia as good as possible.

The director of the business, Renata McCarthy, has been an au pair herself during her travels when she was 19 years old. In the last 6 years, Renata and her partner Brad McCarthy, have received more than 30 homestay students from Japan in their home on the Gold Coast. During the last 2 years we started hosting au pairs from Japan, including our current au pair Hitome. Today Renata and Brad have a little girl called Lorena, who is 1 year old and loves her time with Hitome.

Since Lorena was born, Renata has matched many Japanese girls and Australian families to help each other. They understand the value of cross cultural experiences and understand that many families in Australia need help with their children and also managing light house work in their daily routines.

Our aim for our international au pairs, housekeepers and nannies

Our aim is to give our clients the opportunity to experience Australia within a family lifestyle on a budget, while still having free time to work and travel. Au pairs can save money by exchanging basic housework and/or child minding for free accommodation and meals. While our client-specific programs, au pairs will have enough free time to find a job and make some money, or travel and sightsee while living with the family.

Our goal is to give the best chance possible to our international au pairs, nannies and housekeepers to enjoy the beautiful Gold Coast and experience life being part of an Australian family.
 
Our aim for our families

Our aim is to provide our local families with valuable assistance in their daily routines at the minimal cost of providing accommodation and meals. The au pairs, house keepers and nannies will be able to help with general house duties and/or child minding, depending on what is most required for the household.

Au Pair House understands that each family is different, and has individual needs and requirements. Every family that applies will receive a visit in their home where all members of the family will be met, and the programs will be explained and tailor-made specifically for each family. Unlike many other companies that are solely concerned with turning profits, our primary objective is to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction that is achievable. Families and clients safety, happiness, comfort and satisfaction are our main goals.
